Embracing the New, Part 1

We are so happy to announce Nico Lund will be collaborating with us on our upcoming release “Wild World Away”. She used to live in Seattle yet has recently relocated to Lexington, Kentucky. In spite of the fact she lived just a block from us years ago, our paths never crossed (at least not that we’re aware of). So technically, she’s our first collaborator who we’ve never met face-to-face.

Nico reached out to us on Instagram when ‘Afterlife’ came out. She was so supportive and we totally dug the music and visual art she was creating. As ‘Wild World Away’ began taking shape, she kept coming to mind as the perfect collaborator for the song. We emailed her with the proposition of joining us on ‘Wild World Away’ and we were thrilled she said ‘yes’.

Due to the long distance between us, we won’t have the opportunity to go into the studio for our “parts reveal” as we’ve done with our prior releases. Instead, Nico will work on her own with no input from us other than the ‘stay true to the emotional integrity of the song’ guidance we give all our collaborators, then send us her mp4 files when ready. That’s it. So now we wait. Excited to see what Nico comes up with!
